In accordance with their Memorandum of Cooperation, the International Cyber Academy and the Alfred Nobel University in Dnipro met on 6‒7 October 2023. Serhii Kholod, Rector of A. Nobel University, and Valery Tsiupa, President of CyberAkademia, discussed expanding collaboration under international projects.

A special topic was the possibility of cooperation in the EIT HEI/DISCO project, in which the Cyber Academy is involved.

The project involves student internships, startup mentorship and acceleration, as well as the involvement of the Alfred Nobel University in both the current and future phases of the DISCO project’s operations.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is a very important area and it would be beneficial if it were represented by an institution such as the said University in EIT HEI development projects in Ukraine.

The following issues were also discussed at the meeting:

• Development of new education models
• Cooperation of academic and non-academic communities
• Crisis as an opportunity for innovation development
• Risk management, digital security, and cyber hygiene as elements of innovative education
• Joint international development projects…

Participants also discussed their involvement in project initiatives and current projects under Horizon Europe, Erasmus +, the Skłodowska-Curie Program, and the Jean Monet Program.
