On 5‒6 July 2022, an event marking the launch of projects funded under the European Institute of Innovation & Technology HEI Initiative was held in Barcelona.

At the meeting, the core ideas of the DISCO (Developing Innovative Sustainable Cooperation Opportunities) project were presented and showed the consortium’s potential to strengthen the innovation capacity of European higher education institutions (HEIs) through shared learning, cooperation, and the exchange of knowledge.

During the event, presenters focused on the DISCO project’s specific aims, as indicated in its IVAP. Participants learnt how HEIs innovate and operate as enablers of innovation and entrepreneurship for other actors, including students, the public, private, and third sectors, as well as the community and society at large.
